Goals for the week

Friday and Saturday I am going to take the days off for exercise. I have a sore throat and think it might develop into a cold, so I am just going to let my body rest.

On Sunday I am going to start working out again. This week I am going to start doing the New You Bootcamp videos from Sparkpeople.com. They are strength and use dumbbells and the exercise ball. Instead of doing one a day, I think I will do them all in one day. I can alternate upper and body and core too. Instead of doing Pilates those days, I will just use their core videos for that. Then once finished, I can recharge my laptop and do homework and then do my cardio.

Non strength days I will just do cardio: walking/jogging, Tae Bo and so on. I will also do Pilates these days if I have time.

Food wise I am going to try to keep eating at maintenance levels for at least one week. I haven’t been hitting the high calorie days anyhow though, but I try. I will continue to watch my sodium, take my vitamins and drink enough water too.

Starting Monday (and tomorrow) I am going to be planning my food (or most of it) the day before. I will just plan my meals and snacks probably not dinner though because that changes daily. But I think that will help me keep on track more.

So today I took my mom to the grocery store. I figured I would try either some skinny cow or WW ice cream…I see WW cookies and cream ice cream pops so I checked the labels…hidden in the ingredients is trans fats!  So I put them back and got some skinny cow (or is it laughing cow?) On the way home I was thinking that I really want the cookies & cream though so I was wondering how I could get that without having too many calories or trans fats. Something Holly suggested gave me an idea….what if I have vanilla yogurt (dannon’s is only 80 calories) and then crumble 1 or 2 oreo cookies up into it? I don’t have vanilla yogurt but I think I might try this some day!

Then we are parked across from this vendor that sells sausage sandwiches and my mom wants one. There are huge holes in the parking lot to get over there and it is raining. I said I was not taking my car through that, if she wanted them she could get out and walk across the “river” herself! So that is what she had to do! I don’t think she likes my diet! lol

I like your goals. I hope you don’t get a cold but resting is smart. I am horrible at planning meals so I usually eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday. :)

Great goals, I think we all need to give ourselves a little personal challenge different from our norm.
